From Expert To Leader

From Expert to Leader is built for new and first-time managers — especially people who were promoted because they were excellent individual contributors and are now realizing that leading people is a completely different skill. It's also a great fit for recently promoted managers who want a structured way to catch up on the training they never got.

Crystal Quintero, a certified coach through the Certified Coaches Alliance (CCA) and a published author, with training through the eCornell | Bank of America Women's Entrepreneurship program. She built this course after seeing the same pattern over and over: talented experts promoted into management with no training in how to actually lead.

A practical, repeatable set of coaching and communication skills: how to run a real coaching conversation, how to give feedback (including the hard kind) without damaging trust, how to listen in a way that makes your team actually open up, and how to lead with emotional intelligence in high-stakes moments. This isn't leadership theory — every module is built around conversations you'll have this week.

The course is fully online and self-paced through Thinkific. Each of the 10 modules includes a short video lesson and a companion exercise worksheet, so you're applying what you learn as you go — not just watching.
